The Queen’s two official representatives in Suffolk, the Lord Lieutenant for Suffolk and the High Sheriff of Suffolk, have now both given their support to the County’s Keep Moving Suffolk campaign.
The Lord-Lieutenant attends events and presents medals and awards to organisations on behalf of HM The Queen. The Lord-Lieutenant plays a major part in Suffolk supporting organisations and individuals from the public, private and voluntary sector.
The High Sheriff remains the Sovereign’s representative in the county for matters relating to the judiciary and the maintenance of law and order.
Clare, Countess of Euston, who was appointed Lord Lieutenant of Suffolk in December 2014, last month said “Keep Moving Suffolk is a marvellous initiative which will make such a positive contribution to keeping up morale. We know how important this is for our Wellbeing and Mental Health.”.
The High Sheriff of Suffolk, Bridget McIntyre MBE (pictured above), who was appointed to the role in April this year, has also now backed the campaign.
Mrs McIntyre, combines the High Sheriff of Suffolk role with running a social enterprise & charity. She is Chairman of Notcutts & a board director at Adnams & Jarrold. The outdoors & exercise are important to Bridget as it balances her business life & keeps her fit & healthy. She loves the Suffolk countryside, walking with her 2 dogs & cycling (leisure style) whenever she can.

“I’m delighted to support the Keep Moving Suffolk campaign. Keeping active through this time is so important. It’s good to see something for all of us – no excuses. I’ve set myself some targets through these times to improve my fitness, this helps me do just that.”
“The Keep Moving Suffolk campaign is set-up in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Its aim is to inspire and encourage people of all ages to become or stay active in and around their homes by sharing ideas, tips, useful links and positive stories during these unprecedented times.”
