Running helps you appreciate what’s on your doorstep

BLOG – PAUL EVANS

It’s at times like this we start to really appreciate what is on our doorsteps, at least it is for me.

I have been very lucky that for most of my working life the great outdoors has been my office, but it’s not until it’s taken away from you, you really start to appreciate it.

On my jog the other day I even stopped for a moment just to look at the picture post landscape, something I must admit I have never done before, the silence was deafening, no traffic, just birds singing and the sound of the wind in the trees.

They say the best things in life are free, and the good news is its right on our doorsteps, and come rain or shine it always will, in good times and bad.

The pictures below were taken on my morning jog around Beccles common. It was also nice to see the golfers back on the common, a sign that life is returning to normal.

We all want normal again, having said that I have not missed all the traffic and pollution that comes with it!

Keep on Running.
