Suffolk County Council has been selected as a finalist in the ukactive Awards 2022 for the Keep Moving Suffolk Campaign.

The campaign has been recognised in the ‘Activation Award’ category which recognises ‘a current event, campaign or project, that has inspired and encouraged people to be more active in any setting: whether that be in their home, in the gym or leisure centre, on the way to or at work, or outdoors’.

The Keep Moving Suffolk Campaign was developed and implemented, within nine days of the first lockdown, by the Physical Activity Team in Public Health with the sole purpose of encouraging Suffolk residents to get active or stay active during the coronavirus pandemic. Whether providing expert advice and guidance, facilitating practical opportunities to get moving or unlocking vital investment, the campaign has reached out, encouraged and enabled thousands of Suffolk residents to move more in ways that suit them.

The ukactive Awards celebrate the very best of the physical activity sector and are the industry’s flagship awards ceremony. Winners will be announced at a ceremony at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham on Thursday 30 June.
